Assistant Project Manager

$75,000 - $85,000/Year

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Assistant Project Manager to join a leading curtain wall construction company.

Client Details

Our client is a leading specialty construction company that has been in business for 30+ years with a stable and growing project pipeline.

Description

  • Assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing construction projects from start to finish.

  • Help in managing project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project completion.

  • Support the procurement of materials and equipment required for curtain wall installations, ensuring timely delivery and quality control.

  • Assist with the preparation and management of project documentation, including contracts, change orders, RFIs (Requests for Information), and submittals.

  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company standards throughout the construction process.

  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient project flow and resolve any issues that arise.

  • Monitor and track the progress of construction activities, identifying and addressing potential delays or cost overruns.

  • Prepare and present regular project status reports to internal teams and clients.

  • Assist in conducting site visits and inspections to ensure quality and adherence to project specifications.

  • Support the management of project risks, including identifying potential issues and working with the team to find solutions.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred).

  • Previous experience in construction management, ideally within the curtain wall or building envelope industry.

  • Strong understanding of curtain wall systems, materials, and installation methods.

  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

  • Knowledge of construction safety standards and best practices.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
