IT Asset Inventory Consultant

We are seeking an experienced IT Asset Management Specialist to oversee the complete lifecycle of IT assets, with a particular focus on software asset tracking, license compliance, and ITIL-aligned processes. This role requires deep expertise in managing both hardware and software assets from acquisition through disposal, ensuring compliance and optimizing asset utilization.

Description

  • Manage the end-to-end IT Asset Management lifecycle (hardware and software) from acquisition to retirement/disposal.
  • Track, maintain, and update asset records, including software license usage, compliance, and renewals.
  • Implement and follow ITIL-based processes for asset management workflows.
  • Coordinate with IT teams to ensure accurate software/hardware tracking and asset allocation.
  • Monitor compliance with software licensing agreements and address discrepancies proactively.
  • Develop and maintain asset management documentation, processes, and reports.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal teams regarding asset-related inquiries.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure asset management aligns with organizational and regulatory requirements.

Profile

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in IT Asset Management or related IT operations roles.
  • Proven expertise in the full ITAM lifecycle, with emphasis on software asset management.
  • Strong knowledge of asset management tools, workflows, and best practices.
  • ITIL certification preferred.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and customer service orientation.
  • Solid understanding of networking, software, and IT infrastructure fundamentals.
  • Experience working in Financial Services industry is a plus, but open to other industries.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with asset tracking systems and reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across IT, compliance, and procurement teams.

This role is on-site 5x a week and contract role to start.
