We are currently partnered up with a growing Manufacturing Company in their search to add an Environmental & Sustainability Coordinator - Manufacturing to the EHS team due to growth. This position will report into the EHS Manager and will support the development, implementation, and management of environmental and sustainability initiatives to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and drive progress toward the company's sustainability goals. Description
The Environmental & Sustainability Coordinator - Manufacturing will be responsible for the following:
- Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental laws, regulations, and standards, including air, water, waste, and hazardous materials management.
- Manage environmental permits, prepare and submit required reports, and maintain records.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential environmental risks and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop and implement sustainability strategies, focusing on energy efficiency, waste reduction, and resource conservation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improving the sustainability of products, processes, and supply chains.
- Monitor and report on progress toward sustainability goals, such as greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction, zero waste initiatives, and renewable energy adoption.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret environmental and sustainability data to drive decision-making and improvements.
- Prepare detailed reports for internal stakeholders, regulatory agencies, and external sustainability disclosures (e.g., CDP, GRI, ESG reporting).
- Develop and deliver training programs to increase employee awareness and engagement in environmental and sustainability practices.
- Act as a subject matter expert to support teams in achieving compliance and sustainability objectives.
- Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in environmental management and sustainability.
- Recommend and implement innovative solutions to enhance the company's environmental and sustainability performance.
Profile
The ideal Environmental & Sustainability Coordinator - Manufacturing will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or a related field.
- 1-5+ years of experience in environmental compliance or sustainability roles, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with environmental regulations such as EPA standards, ISO 14001, and sustainability frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of environmental management systems and sustainability practices.
- Proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and using environmental management software.
- Certifications such as LEED Green Associate, Certified Sustainability Professional (CSP), or Environmental Professional (EP).
Job Offer
The Environmental & Sustainability Coordinator - Manufacturing will be rewarded with the following:
- Base Salary of $55,000-$85,000 depending on experience
