We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated Construction Project Manager to oversee ground-up K12 educational facility projects in Palm Beach County, FL. This role will be responsible for the successful delivery of multiple construction projects, ensuring that each project is completed on time, within budget, and meets all quality standards.

Description

  • Project Leadership & Management: Lead and manage ground-up K12 school construction projects from inception to completion. Oversee all aspects of the project lifecycle, including budgeting, scheduling, contract administration, procurement, and client communication.

  • Budget & Cost Management: Develop detailed project budgets, track expenses, manage cost controls, and ensure projects remain within financial parameters. Provide regular updates on budget status and resolve any financial discrepancies.

  • Scheduling & Coordination: Create and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of each phase of construction. Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, architects, and engineers to keep projects on track.

  • Quality Control & Compliance: Ensure that all work is performed according to plans, specifications, and local regulations. Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to ensure high standards are met.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders. Provide clear, consistent updates on project status, risks, and any changes to scope or schedule.

  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure projects remain on track. Resolve any on-site issues and make necessary adjustments to avoid delays or cost overruns.

  • Contract & Subcontractor Management: Manage contracts with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers. Ensure subcontractor performance aligns with project specifications, timelines, and safety standards.

  • Permitting & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all necessary permits and approvals are obtained, and work closely with local authorities to adhere to Palm Beach County's building codes, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.

  • Safety Management: Promote a culture of safety on the job site, ensuring compliance with OSHA and other relevant safety standards. Conduct regular safety meetings and ensure all workers adhere to proper safety protocols.

Profile

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on K12 ground-up construction projects. Experience in public school construction projects is highly preferred.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.

  • Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) or CCM (Certified Construction Manager) preferred. OSHA certification is a plus.

  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of local building codes, zoning laws, permitting processes, and safety regulations in Palm Beach County. In-depth understanding of K12 facility construction requirements.

  • Skills:

    • Proven experience with construction scheduling software (Procore, Buildertrend, Microsoft Project, etc.).

    • Excellent leadership and team management skills.

    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and deadlines.

  • Other Requirements:

    • Ability to travel to job sites within Palm Beach County as required.

    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
