Quality Control Manager - Richmond,CA - Commercial Construction

Our client is seeking a Quality Control Manager to oversee quality assurance and compliance on large-scale commercial construction projects in the Richmond area. This individual will be responsible for implementing and managing quality control programs, conducting inspections, ensuring adherence to project specifications, and collaborating with project teams to uphold the highest construction standards.

Description

  • Quality Assurance & Compliance: Develop, implement, and oversee project-specific quality control programs to ensure compliance with contract documents, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Inspections & Testing: Conduct regular site inspections and coordinate third-party testing to verify workmanship and materials meet project specifications.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed quality control reports, deficiency logs, and non-conformance reports while ensuring proper corrective actions are taken.
  • Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and engineers to resolve quality issues and improve construction processes.
  • Training & Best Practices: Provide guidance to field teams on quality control procedures, standards, and best practices to uphold project excellence.
  • Problem-Solving & Risk Mitigation: Identify potential quality risks early in the construction process and implement proactive solutions to prevent delays and rework.
  • Client & Regulatory Interaction: Act as the main point of contact for quality-related concerns, ensuring alignment with client expectations and governing authorities.

Profile

  • 5+ years of experience in quality control/quality assurance for commercial construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Experience implementing quality control programs and performing site inspections.
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, and other construction management software.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
