Lead Estimator - Director of Preconstruction
An established and respected General Contractor in South Florida is seeking an experienced Commercial Estimator to join their growing preconstruction team. This is an opportunity to play a key role in winning and shaping high-profile commercial projects across the region.

Description
Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for commercial projects (ground-up and interiors)
Analyze drawings, specifications, and subcontractor bids to determine project scope and cost
Collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients during the preconstruction phase
Lead budgeting efforts from schematic design through final construction documents
Maintain historical cost data and develop unit pricing standards
Identify and mitigate cost risks and opportunities throughout the estimating process
Profile
10+ years of estimating experience in commercial construction (retail, office, hospitality, etc.)
Proven ability to work with conceptual and detailed plans to build comprehensive estimates
Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, materials, and building codes
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
Proficient with estimating software (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or Sage Estimating)
Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
