Manufacturing - Electro-Mechanical Systems Engineer - Alvin, SC
The Electromechanical Systems Engineer designs and integrates electrical, mechanical, and software systems, manages projects, and supports equipment upgrades and troubleshooting. They collaborate with external teams, provide global on-site support, and apply innovative solutions to improve system performance and reliability.

This international company focuses on advanced textiles and engineered materials, catering mainly to two sectors: industrial process industries and aerospace. Within the industrial division, it stands as the top global supplier of custom-engineered fabrics and belts vital for paper and nonwoven manufacturing, commanding a strong market presence. In aerospace, the company delivers high-performance composite components, including key parts for cutting-edge jet engines.
Description
Responsibilities:
- Design and install electromechanical systems by integrating electrical, mechanical, and software components.
- Manage equipment upgrades and relocations with minimal operational disruption.
- Support maintenance teams by troubleshooting and resolving technical issues promptly.
- Coordinate and oversee external engineering and construction partners to ensure project success.
- Conduct system analysis and testing to validate performance and reliability.
- Independently manage project planning, new construction, and conversion projects.
- Travel internationally to manufacturing sites for on-site project support and alignment.
- Stay current with electromechanical engineering advancements and apply innovative solutions for system improvement.
Profile
Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field required.
- Demonstrates strong accountability and takes ownership of tasks and projects.
- Highly self-directed with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, including strong English proficiency for clear and concise reporting.
- Safety-conscious mindset with a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Quality-oriented with attention to detail and dedication to delivering high-standard results.
- Proficient in 2D/3D design tools and AutoCAD Electrical for system design and documentation.
- Experienced in HMI/PLC software development, electromechanical troubleshooting, and project management.
