Machinist Sales Representative - Albany, NY
The Machine Sales Specialist is responsible for driving industrial machine sales by fostering long-term customer relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the entire sales process. This role requires both independent and collaborative work to achieve success.

Description
Essential Functions:
Travel to prospective customer sites to generate leads or engage with customers over the phone.
Present or demonstrate products using sales materials, brochures, and electronic presentations.
Assess customer requirements and specifications, offering recommendations for products that best meet their needs or work with the engineering team to suggest necessary modifications.
Calculate installation costs for machinery and estimate potential savings in production.
Provide price quotes and credit terms, and prepare proposals and contracts for secured orders.
Develop and submit complete bid packages.
Review customer plant machinery layouts and design new layouts to maximize space efficiency.
Collaborate with manufacturing to estimate delivery dates based on current production capacity.
Keep records of business transactions and manage expense accounts.
Input new customer data and sales information into the database.
Build and maintain relationships with consulting and purchasing contacts.
Attend trade shows to network and promote products.
Work closely with engineering and project management teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Supervise sales assistants in preparing proposals, submitting bids, or organizing marketing materials.
Perform other tasks as required.
Profile
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field, or an Associate's degree in a technical discipline with 3-5 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
Multilingual skills are a plus.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Highly self-motivated, proactive, and solution-oriented.
Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure and tight deadlines.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Effective time management skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
25-30% travel may be required.
A strong sense of integrity and professionalism.
Job Offer
Competitive salary range of $60,000 - $90,000 annually
