Director of Quality
The Quality Director oversees the development, implementation, maintenance, and assessment of quality systems and processes to ensure that the organization's products and services consistently meet or exceed customer expectations and comply with regulatory standards. This role requires strategic planning, effective team leadership, and close collaboration across departments to foster a strong culture of quality throughout the organization.

Description
- Create and enforce quality assurance policies and procedures.
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive quality system to ensure adherence to internal standards and regulatory requirements.
- Design testing methods and implement industry best practices.
- Supervise testing activities to verify that products meet required specifications and quality standards.
- Perform random inspections and conduct quality control audits.
- Lead and manage the quality assurance team, including recruiting, training, and evaluating performance.
- Oversee daily operations of the quality department, managing schedules and attendance.
- Partner with leadership across departments to guarantee timely delivery of high-quality products.
- Facilitate effective communication between production teams and management.
- Ensure products comply with all customer and regulatory standards related to quality, safety, and reliability.
- Provide regular reports on quality control and operational status to executive management and regulatory bodies.
- Drive initiatives aimed at improving quality and optimizing processes.
- Conduct consumer research to gather insights that guide further testing and development.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in quality management, Engineering, Chemistry, or a relevant combination of education and work experience.
- Experience in quality roles within the personal care, cosmetic, and pharmaceutical industries.
- Proven ability to lead a diverse team, with three years of managerial experience.
- Experience in developing quality procedures and objectives for personal care industry (including OTC/GMP regulations)
- Experience in regulatory requirements for the personal care industry (including OTC/GMP)
- Experience in managing multiple projects involving contract manufacturers
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience with quality competencies such as AQL, root cause analysis, and CAPA management
- MUST BE WILLING TO TRAVEL 25%
