Quality Engineer III - Manufacturing - Chicopee, MA
Client Details

- Design and implement process control systems, SPC, inspection methods, and quality improvement initiatives
- Lead root cause analysis using 8D, 5 Whys, and Fishbone to drive sustainable corrective actions
- Manage large‑scale quality and process improvement projects across operations and engineering
- Lead internal quality audits aligned with ISO 9001 (ISO 13485 preferred)
- Own and execute CAPA processes, ensuring timely closure and effectiveness
- Lead APQP activities to validate products and manufacturing processes
- Develop and maintain quality metrics and reporting to monitor system performance
- Partner with engineering on DOE, FMEA, DFM, GD&T, Six Sigma, and process capability improvements
- Participate in MRB activities including failure analysis and disposition decisions
- Develop and deliver quality training programs such as blueprint reading and onboarding
Profile
- 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing quality engineering environment
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, tooling, and quality systems
- Hands‑on experience with audits, CAPA, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001; ISO 13485 experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred; CQE or Six Sigma certification a plus
- CMM & PC-DMIS required
