Product Development Engineer - Industrial - Springfield, MA
As a Product Development Engineer, you will be at the forefront of accelerating the development and time-to-market of automotive products. This will be a highly collaborative role with a focus on R&D, Design for Manufacturability and Project Management.

Description
The Product Development Engineer will report directly into the Engineering Manager and be responsible for:
- Design, develop, and validate new automotive components and systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality, to ensure seamless product development.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for new designs and materials.
- Drive continuous improvement in product design, focusing on cost reduction, quality enhancement, and manufacturability.
- Support Sales and New Product Groups on new business opportunities.

Profile
- Bachelors or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 3-7 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Strong understanding of automotive design standards, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in CAD software and manufacturing process simulation tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong project management and communication abilities.
