Quality Assurance Specialist (Consumer Goods)
The Quality Assurance Specialist provides exceptional customer service by supporting the quality standards of products and services. Contributes to the continuous improvement of all products and processes that enhance the customer experience. Monitors and maintains quality processes. Develops excellent working relationships across the organization and with all its partners to exceed customer expectations.

Description
Customer Service Mindset

Customer Quality
- Supports various projects to minimize service risks and improve outcomes.
- Supports various departments to manage and mitigate customer service failures.
- Assists in maintaining compliance with all Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.
- Trains new hires on ISO QMS awareness.
- Promotes quality management philosophy to all personnel within the company.
- Assists in gathering data and creating/implementing relevant KPI's.
- Ensures responsiveness, completeness, compliance of the company Cases and Corrective Actions (CARs).
- Manages defective inventory to satisfactory completion.
- Reviews inspection reports and inspects mass production samples (MPS), documents results, and communicates findings.
- Maintains and organizes sample library.
- Updates approved pre-production samples (PPS) lists and uploads pictures of PPS to re
- Maintains and updates Supplier Current Documents Tracker.
- Requests supplier documents as needed.
- Assists with customer document requests.
- Follows up with customers and/or CSR on cases that require CARs.
- Follows up with suppliers on CAR responses.
- Packages and ships samples as needed.
- Assists other departments with revising work instructions if needed.
- Proposes process improvements to enhance operations if deemed necessary.
Compliance
- Submits reminders to warehouses on expired or upcoming due dates on equipment PMs and scale calibrations.
- Updates QM-5 Warehouse Equipment Maintenance and QM-6 Instrument Calibration Logs.
- Supports ISO 9001 audits as needed.
- Conducts internal audits as needed.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DEPARTMENT EXPECTATIONS
- Represent the company in a positive, professional manner when working with vendors/suppliers, customers, carriers, service providers, and other company employees.
- Assists with other projects or tasks as assigned by the Customer Quality Compliance Manager.
- Takes initiative to solve challenges or seek solutions to recurring problems with vendors/suppliers, employees, and customers.
- Ensures compliance with company Employee Handbook, Healthy & Safety and Quality Manual.
- Ensures compliance with federal and/or state laws, regulations.
- Uses good time management skills and works effectively with all members of the team respective RFQ.
- Submits stock check requests for cases and conducts checks if needed when onsite
Profile
- A minimum of 2 years of quality experience with a record of excellence.
- Effectively communicates both orally and in writing to internal and external parties.
- Proficient in teamwork, motivation, time management, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, with emphasis on Excel and Word.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and maintain strict deadlines.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Ability to see a job or project through to final completion.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
Job Offer
- Hourly rate $30-37/hour + quarterly bonuses
- 3 weeks PTO; 4 weeks after 1st year in business
