Senior Project Manager - Multifamily Mixed-Use Construction

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the construction of multiple commercial, and industrial projects throughout the Indianapolis area. They will be working on the project from start to finish. They are responsible for overseeing project managers, superintendents, and working closely with the developers.

Our client is a $200M a year contractor that has 100 employees. Founded in 1973 they do work in a all 50 states and focus mainly in healthcare, multifamily, commercial and Industrial projects. Description

The Senior Project Manager will:

  • Responsible for managerial and administrative aspects of a project including; estimating, scheduling, quality control, progress reports, progress billing, design review and coordination, cost reporting, safety, and proposal preparation
  • Ensure an accurate and complete project estimate
  • Work closely with owners and the design team to develop preliminary concept drawings
  • Participate in the proposal meeting with the owner to review the scope of work, discuss ways to reduce costs, and provide value engineering ideas
  • Oversee the buyout process and the selection of subcontractors
  • Conduct bi-weekly job site meetings on site
  • Make sound decisions under tight deadlines
  • Organize, plan, and manage multiple activities to accomplish desired results
  • Commit to quality by evaluating project-related processes
  • Make necessary changes, use customer input to make improvements, and meet/exceed internal and external client expectations
  • Act in a manner of integrity that shows support for the company, its values, and other associates while maintaining a constant focus on meeting/exceeding customer requirements and expectations

Profile

The Ideal Senior Project Manager:

  • 10- 15 years of previous experience working with a General Contractor
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or a related field
  • Experience in design/build is a must
  • Experience working with software and technology
  • Strong Communication and Organization Skills
  • Time Management Skills
  • Up to date on the Construction Market and the newest technology
