This position is for an Interiors Assistant Project Manager with experience in tenant build-outs, interior renovations, design build and base building projects for government, commercial, educational, institutional, or healthcare. The position is located in Fairfax, VA.

Description

  • Support the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing interior fit-out projects.

  • Assist with site supervision to ensure quality standards, safety compliance, and timely progress.

  • Coordinate with architects, designers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery.

  • Manage procurement and delivery schedules of interior materials and finishes.

  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including drawings, contracts, and progress reports.

  • Facilitate communication between design teams, construction teams, clients, and other stakeholders.

  • Monitor project budgets and assist in cost control and forecasting.

  • Identify and resolve issues promptly to minimize project delays or cost overruns.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.

  • 1-3 years of experience in interior fit-out, construction, or project management.

  • Strong understanding of interior construction processes, materials, and finishes.

  • Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore) and MS Office Suite.

  • Excellent communication, coordination, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and interior drawings.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to construction sites.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
