The EHS Coordinator (Industrial Manufacturing) will oversee workplace safety and environmental compliance, focusing on hazardous chemical management, permitting processes, and OSHA standards. Description

The EHS Coordinator, Industrial Manufacturing, will:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA standards.
  • Manage permitting processes for hazardous materials and waste, ensuring timely submissions and regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards, ensuring OSHA compliance and recommending corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with departments to ensure safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous chemicals and materials.
  • Provide training and support to employees on EHS protocols, emergency response procedures, and safe work practices.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain accurate records of EHS activities, including training, inspections, incident reports, and permitting documentation.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices, advising management and staff on compliance matters.
  • Develop and execute emergency response plans, including safety drills and preparedness activities.
  • Oversee the creation, management, and upkeep of all EHS documentation and training programs.
  • Onsite at our Bellingham, MA facility

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of EHS experience, with a focus on hazardous chemicals and permitting.
  • Experience in EHS within a manufacturing sector is prefered
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental laws, and best practices in EHS management.
  • Proven expertise in environmental and safety permitting, including hazardous waste and fire permits.
  • Hands-on experience managing EHS programs, conducting audits, and delivering training.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to proactively identify and address safety concerns.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging and educating employees at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Local to Bellingham, MA
