Payroll & Benefits Manager | NYC

We're seeking a proficient Payroll & Benefits Manager to oversee our clients payroll system and manage employee benefits. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, experience in payroll, and a strong understanding of benefits administration.

Client Details

Our client is a mid-sized nonprofit organization that is well-known in NYC.

Description

  • Oversee and manage the organization's payroll functions, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations
  • Implement, maintain, and review payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions
  • Manage the employee benefits programs including health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits
  • Coordinate with HR to verify employee data for accuracy
  • Ensure payroll and benefits documents are compliant with regulations
  • Respond to payroll and benefits inquiries from management and staff in a timely manner
  • Prepare and present reports summarizing payroll and benefits information
  • Stay updated on payroll tax laws and regulations and ensure company compliance

Profile

A successful Payroll & Benefits Manager should have:

  • Proficiency in payroll software; Ceridian preferred
  • Familiarity with benefits and other compensation programs
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
