Manufacturing Solutions - Manufacturing Engineer - Keene, NH
The Manufacturing Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring plant safety, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. This position oversees chemical management, directs engineering staff, spearheads production improvements, and manages facilities maintenance while providing technical support to manufacturing processes and reporting directly to the General Manager.

Description
- Responsibilities:
- Strictly adhere to established safety protocols and procedures in the workplace.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements including GMP, EPA, and OSHA standards.
- Conduct and oversee equipment and process validations (IQ, OQ, PQ).
- Foster a positive work environment through effective communication and teamwork.
- Exercise sound judgment in decision-making while performing assigned tasks.
- Carry out monthly safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Manage First Responders program and oversee First Aid initiatives.
- Develop and maintain safety awareness programs for all personnel.
- Coordinate hazardous communication efforts with Materials and Documentation teams.
- Lead safety training sessions, including fire drills, and maintain required safety logs.
- Evaluate new equipment for safety compliance and develop appropriate maintenance schedules.
- Monitor and improve facility conditions, recommending enhancements as necessary.
Profile
- Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Essential: Hands-on experience in medical device manufacturing
- Required: Strong background in process and manufacturing engineering
- Highly valued: Knowledge of plastics manufacturing processes, including extrusion and molding techniques
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision from the General Manager
- Proven track record in technical problem-solving, equipment maintenance, and improving manufacturing efficiency
- Proficiency in CAD software and aptitude for various computer applications
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with ability to interpret diverse data formats
- Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory standards such as GMP, FDA 21 CFR 820, and ISO 13485
- Expertise in chemical management and associated regulations
- Excellent communication skills, with ability to convey complex ideas and action plans effectively
- Adaptability to manage a role that has been relatively passive in recent times
