Commercial Loan Closer

This position involves overseeing the entire closing process for both single-lender and syndicated commercial loans, making sure everything is accurate, compliant, and completed on schedule. The chosen candidate will collaborate closely with internal departments, legal advisors, and external clients to review documents, coordinate funding, and assist with activities following the loan closing.

Description

• Review loan policies, credit approvals, underwriting files, and term sheets to confirm they match the closing documents.
• Examine and confirm all conditions that must be met before closings, draw downs, and funding can occur.
• Work closely with relationship managers, legal teams, and operations to make sure every closing requirement is fulfilled.
• Prepare and review closing checklists, commitment letters, and closing statements.
• Verify that all necessary documents are gathered, thoroughly checked, and properly signed before funds are released.
• Oversee the loan disbursement process and ensure loans are accurately recorded.
• Keep comprehensive records of completed transactions, ensuring they comply with company policies and regulations.
• Assist with post-closing tasks such as tracking documents, resolving any outstanding issues, and maintaining files.

Profile

• Over 5 years of experience in commercial loan closing, including work with both bilateral and syndicated loan structures.
• Proven experience in reviewing Loan Agreements, Term Sheets, Condition Precedents, and other related legal documents.
• Deep knowledge of commercial lending paperwork and closing processes.
• Background working at a large commercial or international bank is preferred.
• Exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to handle multiple loan transactions at once while meeting tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with both internal teams and external parties.
• Quick learner, capable of mastering new systems and processes efficiently.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related discipline is preferred.
