Business Development Manager - Advanced Materials - Onsite OH
- Drive the growth of the client's heat treatment services through business development, cross-functional collaboration and fostering long-term relationships with OEM partners.
- Build and strengthen connections between customer strategies and the company's product and development capabilities to optimize sales potential.

They specialize in providing innovative solutions and technical expertise, with a strong focus on decarbonization and advanced materials.
Description
- Lead and implement strategic business objectives to support operations in the Ohio facilities.
- Monitor industry trends, technological advancements, and competitor activities to inform strategic direction.
- Build and strengthen connections between customer strategies and the company's product and development capabilities to optimize sales potential.
- Effectively communicate value propositions to OEM partners, using your understanding of decarbonization solutions and their benefits.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, finance) to align sales strategies with customer goals.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives and procurement teams at OEM partners to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
- Participate in sales forecasting, goal setting, and strategic planning.
- Keep up with industry trends, market dynamics, competitive landscapes, and regulatory changes to adjust strategies accordingly.
- This position is based in Wadsworth, OH, with up to 50% travel required across the Midwest region.
Profile
- A bachelor's degree in engineering, material science, or related fields; an MBA is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in supporting sales and managing large, complex accounts, preferably within advanced materials, aerospace, energy, defense, or greater industrial industries.
- Strong business acumen and ability to create strategic plans that align with market trends and customer needs.
- Experience in managing complex programs, long-lead qualifications, and high-value, asset-driven projects.
- In-depth understanding of new technology development processes, ideally within heat treatment and tolling services.
- Proven ability to generate, qualify, and close new business opportunities.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage senior executives and key stakeholders confidently.
- Self-motivated with a strong drive for success and a goal-oriented approach.
- This position is primarily onsite with travel throughout the greater Ohio region.
- Willingness to travel to clients and tradeshows as required.
