We are looking for a motivated Operations Manager to oversee our logistics, shipping, and supply chain efforts at our Greater Boston location.

Description

The Operations Manager will be responsible for:

• Logistics Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and optimization of all logistics operations, including inbound and outbound shipments, to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products and materials.

• Supply Chain Management: Develop and manage supply chain strategies, including sourcing, procurement, inventory control, and vendor management, to ensure the consistent and efficient supply of necessary materials.

• Shipping Operations: Manage the entire shipping process, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and maintaining high standards of accuracy and reliability.

• Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall productivity.

• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, quality assurance, and customer service, to ensure alignment and support for operational goals.

• Team Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to team members involved in logistics, shipping, and supply chain activities, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

• Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets for logistics and supply chain operations, ensuring effective cost control and resource allocation.

• Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the supply chain and logistics processes and develop mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity.

Profile

The successful Operations Manager will have what follows:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in operations, supply chain, logistics, or a related role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record of success in optimizing logistics, supply chain, and shipping processes.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to lead by example and inspire others.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with ERP systems and supply chain management software.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
