Quality Engineer / Lead
The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring product quality and process efficiency within a precision manufacturing environment. This role drives inspection, validation, and continuous improvement efforts to meet strict compliance and performance standards.

Description
- Interpret mechanical drawings and specifications to validate dimensional accuracy and product compliance.
- Execute and document First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with internal and AS9102 standards.
- Lead and support process validation for new products, tooling, and manufacturing changes.
- Perform root cause analysis on nonconformances and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects, scrap, and process variation.
- Analyze production and quality data to identify trends and implement systemic improvements.
- Maintain quality documentation including inspection reports, control plans, NCRs, and FMEAs.
- Support ISO 9001 quality system compliance through audits, documentation, and process control activities.
- Inspect incoming materials and finished assemblies to ensure adherence to specifications.
Profile
- 3-5 years of quality engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of mechanical drawings and dimensional inspection techniques.
- Experience with root cause analysis, CAPA, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) and knowledge of Six Sigma principles preferred.
- Ability to work cross‑functionally with operations, engineering, and supply chain teams.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with a hands‑on, detail‑oriented approach.
