My Client is looking for a Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager within the food manufacturing industrylooking for an individual who will be responsibilities related to ensuring compliance with regulations, creating a safe working environment, and promoting environmentally sustainable practices.

Description

The responsibilities of the Environmental, Health, Safety (EHS) Manager are

1. 1. Regulatory Compliance:

      • Stay current with and ensure compliance with all relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations applicable to food manufacturing.
      • Interface with regulatory agencies and third-party auditors as needed.

   2. Safety Programs:

      • Develop, implement, and oversee safety programs to prevent accidents and injuries.
      • Conduct regular safety training for employees and management.
      • Investigate and report incidents, accidents, and near misses, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.

   3. Environmental Management:

      • Implement and manage environmental programs to minimize the environmental impact of operations.
      • Monitor and report on key environmental performance indicators.
      • Develop strategies to reduce waste, energy consumption, and water usage.

   4. Risk Assessment:

      • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend measures to control and reduce risks.
      • Work with cross-functional teams to integrate safety into all aspects of operations, including new projects and processes.

   5. Emergency Preparedness:

      • Develop and maintain emergency response plans.
      • Conduct drills and exercises to ensure preparedness for emergencies.

   6. Safety Culture:

      • Promote a strong safety culture by fostering awareness, communication, and accountability.
      • Encourage employee involvement in safety initiatives.

   7. Reporting and Documentation:

      • Maintain accurate records related to safety incidents, environmental performance, and compliance.
      • Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory agencies.

Profile

A successful EHS Manager candidate must have

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
• Proven experience in EHS management, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead and influence others to achieve a positive safety culture.
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
