An established, mid‑sized General Contractor with a long-standing presence in the Colorado market is seeking a Project Engineer to support their growing K‑12 portfolio. As the Project Engineer, you will support the Project Manager and Superintendent on active K‑12 projects, ensuring documentation, coordination, and field processes are executed smoothly.- Assist with project documentation, RFIs, submittals, and change orders
- Support coordination between field teams, design partners, and subcontractors
- Track project schedules and material deliveries
- Maintain accurate project logs and reporting
- Help ensure safety protocols and quality standards are upheld
- Participate in site walks, progress meetings, and punch list activities
- Contribute to project closeout documentation and turnover
Profile
For the Project Engineer we are seeking:- At least 2 years of construction experience, ideally on K‑12 or similar institutional projects
- Strong understanding of commercial construction processes
- Proficiency with construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, or similar)
- Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills
- Ability to support both field and office operations
- A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with a desire to grow into future leadership roles
Job Offer
- $70,000 - $90,000 base salary, depending on experience
