Assistant Preconstruction Project Manager
We're hiring an Assistant Preconstruction Project Manager to support precon efforts across a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, and industrial projects. This is an excellent opportunity for early-career professionals looking to grow into a full project management role within a vertically integrated real estate firm.

Based in Clifton, NJ, this privately held real estate development and construction firm has been shaping the built environment for over 50 years. With more than 7 million sq. ft. of commercial space, 6,000+ luxury apartments, and 60+ industrial projects completed, they are also one of the largest data center owners in the NYC metro area. The firm handles every stage of the development cycle-from acquisitions and permitting to construction, leasing, and property management. They've nearly doubled in size over the last decade and are set to move into a brand-new, modern headquarters later this year.c
Description
Preconstruction: Support preconstruction efforts for new developments, renovations, and tenant improvements
Subcontractors: Assist in bid solicitation, scope reviews, and subcontractor coordination
Estimating: Collaborate with estimating, design, and project teams to ensure smooth handoff and execution
Document Review: Help review drawings, plans, and specifications to support value engineering efforts
Schedule Management: Track schedules, budgets, and procurement plans during preconstruction
Team Leadership: Work closely with project managers, consultants, and in-house stakeholders across disciplines
Profile
1-4 years of relevant experience, ideally with exposure to residential or mixed-use construction and preconstruction activities
Familiarity with drawings, takeoffs, and bidding processes
Strong organizational and communication skills with an eagerness to learn and grow
A motivated team player who wants to eventually move into project management
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred
Job Offer
Competitive Base salary: up to $105K (depending on experience)
