The Senior Tax Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of tax compliance and planning within the business services industry. This role offers an opportunity to work on complex tax strategies while leading a dedicated team in New York.

Description

  • Lead the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize the organization's tax position.
  • Oversee audits, resolve tax issues, and ensure accurate reporting and documentation.
  • Provide guidance on tax implications for business transactions and strategies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support financial planning and organizational goals.
  • Manage and mentor the tax team to enhance performance and professional growth.
  • Stay updated on tax laws and regulations and communicate changes to stakeholders.
  • Prepare reports and present insights to senior leadership as needed.

Profile

A successful Senior Tax Manager should have:

  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations and compliance processes.
  • Proven ability to handle tax planning, audits, and reporting with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience in managing a team and providing mentorship to junior staff.
  • Excellent communication skills to present complex tax information clearly to stakeholders.
  • A CPA certification or equivalent qualification is preferred.
  • Proficiency in tax software and financial tools.
