Industrial Superintendent- Secaucus, NJ

We are seeking a hands-on Superintendent to lead ground-up industrial construction projects in Secaucus, NJ, taking full ownership of on-site operations from mobilization through closeout. This individual will drive schedule, safety, and quality while serving as the primary field leader ensuring successful project delivery.

Description

• Lead all on-site construction activities from sitework and foundations through building turnover
• Manage daily field operations, coordinating subcontractors, vendors, and inspections to maintain schedule and productivity
• Develop, maintain, and enforce project schedules, sequencing, and logistics plans
• Oversee quality control, ensuring all work aligns with drawings, specifications, and company standards
• Enforce site safety protocols and OSHA compliance, leading regular safety meetings and inspections
• Act as the primary on-site point of contact for project managers, ownership, and design teams
• Identify and resolve field issues, driving solutions to keep projects on track
• Maintain detailed daily reports, documentation, and progress updates
• Lead project closeout, including punch list completion and turnover

Profile

A successful Industrial Superintendent should have:

• 7+ years of experience as a Superintendent with strong tenure at prior firms
• Proven experience leading ground-up industrial construction projects from sitework through completion
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple trades including concrete, steel, and building systems
• Strong leadership presence with the ability to run a job independently and command respect in the field
• Excellent understanding of scheduling, sequencing, and site logistics
• Proficient with construction management tools (Procore preferred)
• OSHA certification preferred
• Nice-to-have: Experience building self-storage facilities or similar mid-scale industrial assets
