This Houston-based general contractor is seeking a Traveling Superintendent to oversee ground-up airplane hangar projects across multiple locations. The role involves managing all on-site construction activities, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to high-quality standards.

Description

• Oversee all daily field operations, including subcontractor management and site logistics

• Enforce safety compliance and OSHA regulations at all times

• Maintain project schedules, monitor milestones, and communicate progress to the internal team

• Interpret and implement construction drawings, specs, and technical documentation

• Lead subcontractor meetings, site walks, and inspections

• Manage project records, RFIs, as-builts, and daily reports

• Collaborate with PMs and engineers to resolve challenges and keep builds on track

• Mentor field staff and foster a culture of accountability and performance

• Deliver projects that meet or exceed quality and client expectations

Profile

• 7+ years of experience overseeing ground-up commercial or multifamily builds

• Proven ability to manage complex jobs from start to finish

• Strong communication and leadership skills in fast-paced environments

• Ability and willingness to travel for project assignments

• Knowledge of construction safety practices, scheduling tools, and jobsite coordination
