Commercial Estimator - Cleveland

The ideal Estimator candidate will have a strong understanding of construction means and methods, market pricing, and subcontractor relationships. This role is critical in developing accurate, competitive bids and supporting the team through all phases of project pursuit and delivery.

Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed estimates for projects ranging from conceptual budgets to hard bids
• Perform quantity takeoffs and analyze drawings, specifications, and scopes of work
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals
• Develop cost breakdowns, bid clarifications, and value engineering options
• Collaborate with project managers and preconstruction teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of estimates
• Maintain relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and clients to ensure competitive pricing and strong industry partnerships
• Assist in project buyout and turnover to operations teams

Profile

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of estimating experience with a commercial general contractor
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
• Proficiency in estimating software such as Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, Sage, or Procore Estimating
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, scopes, and trade sequencing
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple bids concurrently
