Engineering Manager - Gears/Gearbox
This is an Engineering Manager position where the ideal candidate will get involved with a hands-on approach while managing and reviewing the work of the process and design engineer team. Client Details
Our client is a manufacturer of custom and precision gears/gearboxes for over 65 years. They serve the Aerospace, Defence, Agriculture, mining and construction industries and are always focused on maintaining strong customer relationships based on quality and precision.
Description
- Review all new gear orders and direct the Engineering staff to process and document the jobs in a timely and efficient manner.Strong background in Software Development and Project Management, with the ability to oversee technical workflows and deliverables.
- Review the work product of the Engineering staff to ensure that it is completed thoroughly, accurately, and on time.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
- Maintain reliable and safe manufacturing systems while improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs and changeovers.
- Improve process capability and production volume while maintaining and improving quality standards.
- Prepare and adhere to annual financial budgets.
Profile
- Must be ITAR compliant - US Citizen or Green Card Holder
- Multiple years of Engineering experience within Gear manufacturing - specifically spiral gears, bevel gears, etc
- Leadership experience a plus
- Experience in the Aerospace and defence sector a plus
- Engineering Degree preferred
- Quoting/Estimating experience a plus
Job Offer
- Salary ranging from 120,000 to 140,000 depending on experience
- 10% bonus eligible
- 22 days of time off to start (PTO, Sick, etc combined)
