Description

The Assistant Project Manager - Leading GC - Charlotte will be responsible for:

  • Managing both administrative and managerial aspects of projects, including estimating, scheduling, quality control, progress reporting, progress billing, design review and coordination, cost reporting, safety, and proposal preparation.
  • Collaborating with the owner early in the design process to work with design professionals.
  • Preparing accurate and comprehensive estimates for projects, and working closely with owners and the design team on preliminary concept drawings.
  • Participating in proposal meetings with the owner and Project Manager to review the scope of work, explore cost-saving measures, and offer value engineering suggestions.
  • Overseeing the buyout process and selecting subcontractors.
  • Conducting weekly job site meetings.
  • Coordinating with the Superintendent to ensure safety, quality control, and schedule adherence.
  • Holding progress meetings with Owners and the construction team.
  • Representing the company professionally in project meetings and communications with subcontractors and field personnel.

Profile

The successful Assistant Project Manager - Leading GC - Charlotte should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of project management experience in construction with a general contractor.
  • A proven track record of managing multifamily projects valued at $35M+.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • The ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Strong organizational skills with the capability to manage multiple activities to achieve goals.
  • A commitment to quality, continuously evaluating and improving project-related processes based on customer feedback.
  • Integrity and support for the company's values while focusing on meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.
  • Experience with On-Screen Takeoff, Sage CRE 300 (Timberline Project Management), Procore, Bluebeam, or similar software is preferred.
