We are currently partnered up with a growing Manufacturing Company in their search to add an Environmental Specialist to the team due to growth within the company and site. This position will report up into the EHS Manager and will be responsible for the sites Environmental Compliance, Chemical Inventory Management, Wastewater treatment, and RCRA waste management. Description
The Senior Environmental Engineer - Manufacturing will be responsible for the following:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations, including EPA, OSHA, and FAA requirements.
- Conduct environmental impact assessments related to aerospace manufacturing, testing, and waste management.
- Develop and implement sustainability initiatives focused on emissions reduction, energy efficiency, and waste minimization.
- Oversee hazardous materials management and pollution control measures, including air and water quality monitoring.
- Lead environmental audits and risk assessments, recommending corrective actions when necessary.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and safety teams to integrate environmental best practices into product development and facility operations.
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports related to environmental compliance, permitting, and sustainability goals.
- Support the development of eco-friendly materials and technologies to reduce environmental footprints in aerospace applications.
- Provide training and guidance on environmental policies and sustainability programs to employees.
- Stay updated on emerging environmental laws, aerospace industry trends, and technological advancements affecting environmental engineering.
Profile
The ideal Senior Environmental Engineer - Manufacturing will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in environmental engineering, preferably within the aerospace, defense, or manufacturing industries.
- Certifications such as CHMM or CEP a plus.
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations (EPA, OSHA, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, and hazardous waste regulations).
- Experience with ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems and sustainability programs.
- Proficiency in environmental impact modeling software and data analysis tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and regulatory documentation.
Job Offer
The successful Senior Environmental Engineer - Manufacturing will be rewarded with the following:
- Base Salary of $80,000- $100,000 depending on experience
