Assistant Project Manager

The Assistant Project Manager will support the planning, coordination, and execution of luxury residential renovation projects across Manhattan. This role works closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and clients to keep projects on track in New York, New York. The ideal Assistant Project Manager is organized, proactive, and eager to grow within a high-end construction environment.

Client Details

Our client is a General Contractor headquartered in New York, New York, specializing in high-end gut renovations of townhomes, penthouses, and apartments throughout Manhattan. Their team is known for delivering architecturally detailed projects through strong collaboration, disciplined project controls, and a deep understanding of luxury residential construction.

Description

  • Assist with project scheduling, budgeting, and cost tracking
  • Support procurement of materials and subcontractor coordination
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, RFIs, and submittals
  • Help manage change orders and update project logs
  • Coordinate with field teams to ensure project milestones are met
  • Participate in client, subcontractor, and internal project meetings
  • Support closeout documentation and final project deliverables

Profile

A successful Assistant Project Manager should have:

  • 2-4 years of experience in construction project management or coordination
  • Exposure to residential or commercial interior renovation projects
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Excel and project management software
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment in New York, New York
  • Desire to grow long-term as an Assistant Project Manager
