Construction Project Coordinator - St. Paul, MN
We are seeking a motivated Commercial Construction Project Coordinator to support project delivery across a range of commercial builds throughout Minnesota. Description
- Support Project Managers in the coordination and execution of commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
- Manage project documentation, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and schedules to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Coordinate communication between field teams, subcontractors, architects, and clients to maintain project alignment
- Assist in tracking budgets, costs, and project progress to support financial performance goals
- Help drive project schedules by monitoring deadlines and proactively addressing potential delays
- Operate project management systems to maintain up-to-date records and reporting
- Support procurement and subcontractor coordination to ensure timely delivery of materials and services
- Deliver consistent administrative and technical support to ensure smooth project execution
Profile
- 3-5+ years of experience in commercial construction (Project Coordinator, Project Engineer, or similar role)
- Experience working for a general contractor strongly preferred
- Exposure to commercial, multifamily, or renovation projects
- Strong understanding of construction documentation (RFIs, submittals, change orders, plans/specs)
- Ability to assist with project scheduling and coordination across multiple stakeholders
- Proficiency with construction/project management software (e.g., Procore or similar)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Detail-oriented with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
- Ability to work collaboratively with field teams, subcontractors, and project managers
- Construction-related degree (Construction Management, Engineering, or similar) preferred but not essential if experience is strong
