Assistant Estimator
A Miami-based General Contractor specializing in high-end commercial interiors is seeking an Assistant Estimator to support the preconstruction and estimating team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with 1-3 years of experience to join a collaborative, fast-paced environment and grow their career within a well-established company.

Our client is a reputable General Contractor with a strong footprint across South Florida, focusing exclusively on commercial interior build-outs. Their portfolio includes corporate offices, law firms, financial institutions, hospitality, and healthcare interiors-delivering quality results for some of the region's most recognized clients. The company is known for its tight-knit team culture, high repeat client rate, and focus on delivering projects on time and within budget.
Description
Assist in preparing detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates from conceptual and schematic drawings
Review architectural and engineering plans to help determine scope and cost implications
Solicit and evaluate subcontractor/vendor quotes and proposals
Maintain accurate and organized estimate files and bid documents
Help track project budgets and support preconstruction efforts with the estimating and project management teams
Attend job walks and pre-bid meetings as needed
Profile
1-3 years of experience in estimating, ideally with a GC focused on commercial interiors
Strong proficiency in Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, and estimating software (e.g., ProEst, PlanSwift, or similar)
Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
Strong organizational and time management skills
Team-oriented, eager to learn, and ready to take initiative
Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred
