Sr. Accountant

This role will handle the day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data, and helping to drive financial performance. You will work closely with senior leadership and other departments to support business decisions and provide accurate financial reporting. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with a background in manufacturing and a strong understanding of financial reporting and cost accounting.

As they continue to grow, they are looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join the team and support their financial operations.

Description

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
• Oversee and manage the month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and ensure accuracy of financial transactions.
• Perform detailed cost accounting, including cost of goods sold (COGS), inventory valuation, and manufacturing variance analysis.
• Assist in the preparation and analysis of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Provide support during audits, ensuring accurate and timely submission of financial documentation.
• Assist with the preparation of tax filings and other regulatory reports.
• Prepare financial analysis reports to support business decisions and process improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., operations, procurement) to ensure accurate costing and financial reporting.
• Review and improve accounting processes to enhance efficiency and internal controls.
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff as needed.

Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA a plus).
• 4+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in manufacturing or industrial accounting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and cost accounting principles.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams.
• A proactive, self-motivated attitude with a strong work ethic.
