Lead Estimator - Commercial/Institutional up to $20M
Our client is a full service general Contracting company was founded in 2008 and originally started as a residential firm that quickly has developed into a $60M per year commercial construction business. They pride themselves in their community involved culture and massive volumes of repeat business. They build commercial and institutional projects for local businesses and universities ranging from $1M-$20M.

They pride themselves in their community involved culture and massive volumes of repeat business. They build commercial and institutional projects for local businesses and universities ranging from $1M-$20M. They are looking to add an Estimator to their team to aid in their growing pipeline. They bid on projects weekly and are set to do about $60M in revenue this year and have a project pipeline and back log of $70M for 2026. This is an opportunity to work for a business that is rapidly growing at a rate of 12%-15% YOY. Description
The Construction Estimator will be responsible for:
- Accurately assessing and estimating the costs associated with Commercial/Institutional Construction projects
- Ensuring the projects are efficiently planned and executed
- Collaborate closely with Project Management team and other key stakeholders
- Analyze project requirements, interpret blueprints, and produce comprehensive estimates that align with client expectations and industry standards
- Analyze project specifications and blueprints to determine project requirements and scope
- Conduct thorough cost analysis for materials, labor, equipment, and other relevant factors
- Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing and quotes
- Prepare detailed and accurate estimates
- Participate in pre-bid meetings
Profile
The Successful Estimator will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or other related field
- 5+ years as Construction Estimator in Higher Ed/commercial construction or related projects
- Strong proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent analytic and mathematical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to interpret construction documents and blueprints
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members, clients, and subcontractors
- Strong organizational skills
- Procore knowledge
