Assistant Project Manager - Construction
A leading general contractor based in Florida, with a solid national reputation, is looking for an experienced Assistant Project Manager with a background in commercial projects to join their growing team.
Client Details
A well-established General Contractor/Construction Manager with 15 years of experience and a strong reputation in the Miami area is currently undergoing rapid growth. Known for valuing team members beyond just their project contributions, the company fosters a positive and supportive work environment. They are now seeking a motivated Assistant Project Manager to join their expanding team and grow alongside the business.
Description
• Provide overall leadership to entire project team
• Manage and develop assigned staff toward maximum job performance and career potential.
• Build and maintain rapport with architects, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Understand and administer contract and subcontract agreements.
• Establish, communicate, and implement the Project Schedule
• Manage budget and financial reporting
• Interpret and analyze reports to ensure adherence to project budget.
• Manage the Quality Assurance/Quality Control program.
• Provide leadership in risk evaluation, contract negotiations, and fee and pricing decisions
Profile
- 3-5 years of experience in construction, working with a general contractor or developer.
- Proven on-site experience in residential construction projects.
- Proficiency with RedTeam construction management software or similar platforms.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a proactive, go-getter attitude.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required
