Evaluation of Returned Equipment- Examine mechanical assemblies for wear, mechanical faults, or component damage.
- Use schematics and electrical test tools-including multimeters, hipot testers, and specialized diagnostic equipment-to identify electrical problems.
Documentation & Issue Tracking- Enter all findings electronically to support repair estimates and job planning.
Repair & Reconditioning- Perform both mechanical and electrical restoration work so that actuators meet original factory performance standards.
- Verify successful repairs using dedicated test systems.
Customer-Site Commissioning & Field Service- Travel periodically to customer facilities to support installation, verify mechanical mounting and wiring, and ensure the actuators operate correctly in the customer's system.
- Diagnose issues on-site and replace components such as motors, transformers, control assemblies, circuit boards, and digital modules as needed.
Reporting & Site Compliance- Prepare clear service reports covering work completed, time on-site, and travel details.
- Complete all required safety training-either on‑site or online-before visiting customer locations.

Requirements
Technical & Professional Qualifications
- Ability to interpret electrical diagrams and mechanical schematics.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing electro‑mechanical assemblies.
- Willingness to travel several times per month, sometimes with short notice.
- Comfortable flying or driving rental vehicles for service visits.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work safely and professionally with customer representatives.
- Consistent, reliable attendance and a strong attention to detail.
- Solid shop math skills.
Education
- High school diploma required.
- Two-year technical degree in electronics (or equivalent training) plus roughly ten years of related work experience.
