Senior Electrical Engineer - Cromwell, CT
About the Role:
This role focuses on designing and developing sophisticated electrical and control systems for rotating aerospace subassemblies. The position involves working with LabVIEW, PLCs, high‑power VFDs, and a range of physical sensors (temperature, pressure, flow, force, etc.). You'll contribute directly to the development of test cells, test stands, and integrated mechanical-electrical systems

Description
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement advanced control systems for rotating aerospace equipment
- Utilize LabVIEW, PLCs, and discrete electronic instrumentation
- Work with regenerative systems involving VFDs and electric motors of 500+ HP
- Integrate and calibrate physical sensors and motor drive electronics
- Collaborate with engineering teams across mechanical, electrical, and systems groups
- Travel domestically, with occasional international travel
Profile
Ideal Candidate:
- BSEE minimum
- 3-5 years of experience in electrical engineering
- Hands‑on experience with LabVIEW, PLCs, VFDs, and industrial control systems
- Strong understanding of physical sensors and high‑power motor systems
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Open to moderate travel
