Description
- Assist the Superintendent in managing day-to-day field operations on active construction projects
- Coordinate subcontractor activities to ensure work is performed safely, on schedule, and in sequence
- Monitor site logistics, material deliveries, and workflow to maintain productivity
- Support project schedule execution by tracking daily progress and identifying potential delays
- Coordinate short-term lookahead schedules (2-3 weeks) with subcontractors
- Assist in driving completion of milestones and trade stacking efficiently
- Perform routine site walks to ensure workmanship meets project specifications and company standards
- Assist in managing punch lists and tracking completion of deficient work
- Help enforce QA/QC processes across all trades
- Enforce jobsite safety protocols and company safety standards
- Participate in daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, and site audits
- Ensure subcontractor compliance with OSHA and site-specific safety requirements
Profile
- 2+ years of field experience with a General Contractor
- Preferred ground up experience, including oversight of site work phases
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field highly desirable however not required
- Applicable project management software proficiency (Procore, Autodesk, CMiC, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills
- Effective team-building skills to support a positive team atmosphere
- Great relationships with local subcontractors and trade partners preferred
- A strong understanding of building structures (concrete/steel/masonry building preferred)
