NPD Engineering Lead

The NPD Engineering Supervisor will oversee a small team of Mechanical/NPD Engineers at our client's manufacturing site based near Wheaton, IL. The NPD Engineering Lead will be heavily focused on leading the Engineering of new products and requires a skilled technical designer & project leader, but also someone with a strong aptitude and desire to lead and develop the skills of others

Description

• Lead & develop a team of Mechanical/NPD Engineers - evaluate and develop performance, provide training & feedback
• Work in 3D modeling software to develop new products
• Lead NPD efforts for specific product lines, delegating tasks and serving as point person for collaboration between other departments internally
• Serve as technical point of contact for customers
• Perform testing and analyses to ensure top product quality - FEA, FMEA

Profile

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required
• 5+ years' experience in an NPD/Mechanical Design Engineering role with supervisory/managerial duties
• Background in an industrial/metals manufacturing setting - knowledge of machining, fabrication, welding, and/or stamping processes
• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks/other 3D CAD software
• Experience working cross-functionally with other internal & external stakeholders to drive project completion
• Excellent project management skills with proven track record of meeting deadlines and budgets
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

Job Offer

• Base salary $110,000 - $145,000 depending on level of experience
• Annual 15% bonus incentive in company's manager tier - paid out 20+% last year
• 3 weeks PTO + 1 week sick time
