Superintendent - Chicago Multi-Family

The Multi‑Family Superintendent will lead day‑to‑day field operations on large‑scale multi‑family construction sites. You'll manage subcontractors, maintain schedules, ensure safety compliance, and uphold quality standards from groundbreaking through turnover.

Description

• Oversee daily field operations for ground‑up multi‑family construction projects
• Manage subcontractors, site logistics, and construction sequencing
• Ensure work is completed according to plans, specs, building codes, and quality standards
• Maintain project schedules and coordinate closely with the Project Manager
• Conduct daily and weekly site meetings with trades and supervisors
• Enforce site safety programs, conduct inspections, and uphold OSHA standards
• Review drawings, RFIs, submittals, and field changes
• Track progress, document work, and support project reporting
• Coordinate inspections with city officials and third‑party engineers
• Drive successful punch‑list, closeout, and turnover to ownership

Profile

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent
• Strong background in multi‑family residential construction required
• Experience with podium, wood‑frame, and/or mixed‑use developments preferred
• Solid understanding of structural, MEP, and finish coordination
• Proven ability to manage fast‑paced, high‑density residential projects
• Strong leadership, communication, and subcontractor‑management skills
• Ability to interpret drawings, specs, and technical construction documents
• OSHA certification preferred
