Document Specialist
A prestigious global law firm is seeking an experienced Word Processing Operator to join their team on an overnight shift basis. This position plays a vital role in supporting attorneys and staff by producing high-quality documents and providing exceptional word processing and administrative support.

Description
- Produce a variety of legal and business documents, including correspondence, reports, presentations, charts, and financial documents
- Revise and format documents using firm-standard software, templates, macros, and forms
- Convert documents between different applications and formats as needed
- Work closely with attorneys and staff on special projects requiring customized formatting or instructions
- Transcribe dictation to produce legal documents accurately and efficiently
- Provide word processing support across practice floors and other offices (in person and by phone)
- Scan, fax, copy, and distribute documents using standard office equipment and OCR software
- Support users with application-specific inquiries and troubleshooting
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
Profile
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Word Processing Center, preferably in a legal or financial environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Adobe Acrobat
- Skilled in scanning documents and converting files using OCR and other scanning tools
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks under tight deadlines
- Experience with transcription equipment and standard office hardware
- Ability to work with various hardware media (e.g., USB drives, CDs/DVDs, shared drives)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Must be punctual, reliable, and able to work the designated overnight shift
- Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information appropriately
- Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with a positive, can-do attitude
Job Offer
- This is an on-site position based in a Manhattan office
- Must be available to work Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 5:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
- Strong potential for temp-to-perm conversion based on performance
