Our client is a well-established family-owned General Contractor situated just outside Richmond, has been in operation for over 50 years. They serve a diverse clientele, including medical, finance, retail, multifamily, and municipal sectors across the Greater Richmond and Central Virginia regions. Their projects generally range from $2M to over $10M. With several upcoming projects in the Stafford/Richmond area, they are actively seeking a seasoned Superintendent to join their team.

Description

The Superintendent - Commercial, retail, interiors - Richmond, VA will be responsible for:

• Overseeing daily construction operations and ensuring quality control for all subcontractors.
• Coordinating field efforts among trades to guarantee timely and profitable project completion in full compliance with contract documents, specifications, laws, and safety regulations.
• Communicating essential project details effectively to management.
• Participating in weekly meetings with subcontractors and owners/architects.
• Ensuring adherence to site safety protocols.
• Monitoring workforce allocation and preparing daily reports.
• Supporting quality control initiatives.
• Assisting in managing field office documentation.
• Aiding in the development of look-ahead schedules.
• Tracking and monitoring site deliveries.
• Confirming that all materials, equipment, and installations comply with approved submittals and contract requirements.

Profile

The Superintendent - Commercial, retail, interiors - Richmond, VA will have:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in general construction.
• Capability to independently manage projects from inception to completion.
• Proven experience overseeing projects valued between $2M and $10M.
• Familiarity with Procore or comparable project management tools.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational abilities.
