We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead ground-up projects for a well-established general contracting company in Maine. This is a great opportunity for a dedicated professional with a background in civil or heavy civil construction, ideally with experience in site work, to oversee a diverse range of projects, including large-scale commercial developments.

Description

Superintendent - Civil / Sitework - Portland, ME - Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the construction of large, complex projects, including civil, heavy civil, and site work.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations on-site, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to maintain project timelines and quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Manage soil removal and remediation processes, including handling concrete work (1,000 yards) for large pool projects in Portland, ME.

Profile

Superintendent - Civil / Sitework - Portland, ME - Will have

  • 7+ years of experience in construction, with a strong preference for civil and heavy civil experience.
  • Solid experience in leading ground-up construction projects, with a focus on commercial projects.
  • Proven background in site work and handling large-scale projects with heavy excavation, soil remediation, and concrete.
  • Proficient with project management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, and Sage Timberline.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with a collaborative approach to teamwork.

Job Offer

Superintendent - Civil / Sitework - Portland, ME - Will receive

  • $80,000 - $130,000 base salary + performance-based bonus
  • 401(k) with 3.5% match on the first 6%
  • 50% paid health insurance
  • Company vehicle & gas allowance
  • 2 weeks PTO with 7 paid holidays (increases with tenure)
