The Accountant is responsible for cost and inventory accounting

Description

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, journal entries, reconciliations, and close processes in compliance with GAAP.

• Cost Accounting: Analyze product costs, overhead, variances, and inventory valuation; support cost reduction initiatives.

• Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist with annual budgets and forecasts; monitor performance and explain variances.

• Inventory Management: Ensure accurate inventory valuation and support system accuracy.

• Compliance & Controls: Support audits and maintain adherence to accounting standards and internal controls.

• Process Improvement: Drive efficiency by streamlining financial processes in a manufacturing environment.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with sales, engineering, and operations to support financial goals.

Profile

• Proven experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards
• Proficiency in Syteline and other accounting software tools
• Hands-on experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Involvement in both internal and external audit processes
