With a strong track record of over 450 new and renovated facilities, my client specializes in K-12, higher education, municipal, commercial office, and federal projects, typically ranging from $30M to $150M. Description

As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the preconstruction process, analyzing project specifications, preparing accurate cost estimates, and collaborating with project teams to ensure competitive and profitable bids. Your expertise in cost analysis, subcontractor relations, and budgeting will contribute to the success of the company's project pursuits.



Responsibilities

  • Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documents to prepare detailed cost estimates.

  • Develop project budgets and proposals based on labor, material, and subcontractor costs.

  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to refine estimates.

  • Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers.

  • Monitor market trends and pricing to ensure competitive bids.

  • Identify potential project risks and develop strategies for cost control.

  • Present cost estimates and proposals to leadership and clients.

  • Maintain a database of historical costs and estimating tools to improve accuracy.

Profile

  • 3+ years of experience as an Estimator in commercial construction.

  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry best practices.

  • Proficiency in estimating software such as Bluebeam, ProEst, or similar tools.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.

  • Experience with K-12, higher education, or commercial projects is preferred.
