Engineering Design Supervisor - Rochester, NH
The Engineering Designer Supervisor will lead and oversee a team of CAD designers, ensuring design work is completed accurately, on time, and in alignment with technical standards. This role partners with Engineering and Project Management leadership to drive productivity, quality, and process improvements within the Design group.

This company is a well-established manufacturer that manufactures products for the HVAC industry. They design and build high-efficiency heating solutions for commercial and residential applications across North America.
Description
In this role you will report directly to the Engineering Manager and be responsible for:
- Supervising and monitoring productivity for a team of CAD designers, ensuring drawings and designs are being completed accurately and on time
- Acting as liaison between the design team and other departments, facilitating communication and collaboration
- Providing onboarding, training, and mentoring for new staff and contract designers to help them become productive team members
- Assigning and managing design workloads to meet department and project goals
- Establishing, maintaining, and improving design team processes, procedures, and standards
- Identifying and implementing new tools and methods to improve design efficiency and quality
- Conducting performance reviews and offering feedback to support staff development
Profile
A successful candidate will have:
- AS degree in Engineering or Technology preferred
- Minimum 3 years of experience mentoring or supervising design resources
- Strong technical background in mechanical-electrical, sheet metal, piping, and/or heating/cooling consumer products
- Proficiency with SolidWorks or other 3D modeling software; E-CAD experience a plus
- Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and conflict resolution skills
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
