Accounting Manager

My client based in Portland, TX is actively seeking an Accounting Manager to contribute to their team's success. As the Accounting Manager you will own the month-end close process across the Balance Sheet and Income Statement and help prepare and review financial statements.

Description

• As the Accounting Manager you will lead and participate in the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
• Oversee the Accounts Payable and Receivables team for this business unit.
• Review and reconcile Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions to maintain accurate financial records.
• Perform day-to-day accounting tasks, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
• Contribute to financial analysis and reporting, providing valuable insights for decision-making.
• Prepare documentation and support internal and external audit processes.
• Ensure adherence to accounting principles, regulations, and company policies.
• Help with mentoring and training junior staff members.
• Help lead the ERP implementation.

Profile

• As the Accounting Manager you will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA preferred.
• Proven experience in month-end close processes, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Have experience preparing Internal Financial Reports to aid in decision making.
• Understanding of AP and AR processes.
• Work and reconcile within the GL.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP implementations; SAP would be preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• This role is on site and based in Portland, TX
• The client will relocate someone within the United States.

Job Offer

• As the Accounting Manager you will be paid a base salary between $110,000 to $130,000 USD per annum.
