Packaging Manager - Nashua, NH

This individual oversees projects from concept through installation and start-up. The individual works closely with customers to understand application needs, designs solutions, builds project plans, manages budgets, coordinates internal teams, and ensures high-quality, on-time project delivery. The role also includes department leadership and development.

Description

• Partner with customers to understand packaging needs and design effective, innovative solutions.
• Identify and evaluate key equipment suppliers to meet application requirements.
• Build and manage project scopes, timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
• Coordinate across procurement, engineering, automation, electrical, mechanical, and field installation teams.
• Oversee installation, commissioning, and production start-up activities.
• Track budgets and cost performance, ensuring efficient and cost‑effective execution.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans.
• Communicate project status and departmental progress to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
• Hire, train, lead, and evaluate members of the packaging department.
• Develop departmental processes, guidelines, documentation, and best practices.

Profile

• Background in packaging engineering, mechanical engineering, process engineering, or related technical fields.
• Experience designing or integrating packaging lines within food, beverage, dairy, personal care, or life sciences manufacturing.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate cross-functional technical teams.
• Knowledge of packaging equipment, automation, installation processes, and quality standards.
• Leadership experience, including team development and establishing departmental processes.
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills with an ability to manage complex technical projects.
